Why I Started Lucky Travels—and Why We Specialise Only in Premium Ertiga
The founder’s story behind Lucky Travels, its Premium Ertiga-only approach and a promise to make every direct booking personal and comfortable.

On 3 August 2026, I started Lucky Travels. The business was new, but the dream behind it was not.
For years, I wanted to build a travel service with several types of cars and give customers different options for different journeys. Work, responsibilities and other interests kept taking me in different directions, and the plan remained unfinished. Still, the dream never disappeared. I kept returning to the same thought: one day, I wanted to create a travel business that I could call my own.
When I finally decided to begin, I also realised that I did not have to wait until I owned a large fleet. I could start with one clear idea, one vehicle category and one standard of service.
Lucky Travels began—and why I chose to specialise only in the Premium Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
The dream changed, but it did not become smaller
My first plan was to offer many cars. Over time, however, I understood that more vehicle categories would not automatically create a better experience. A long list of choices can look impressive, but the customer still needs the right balance of comfort, space, price and personal attention.
I could try to advertise every available category—hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, premium SUVs, tempo travellers and buses. Instead, I prefer to concentrate only on the Premium Ertiga. A narrower service allows me to understand the vehicle properly, explain its seating and luggage limits honestly, maintain a consistent standard and give each customer a more dedicated experience. I would rather become dependable in one category than appear to offer everything without the same personal involvement.
I decided to build expertise around one category instead of trying to offer everything from the first day. By working only with the Premium Ertiga, I can be clearer about the vehicle a customer is requesting. I can discuss the passenger count, luggage and journey before accepting the booking, rather than promising a category and leaving the final assignment uncertain.
This focused beginning is not a compromise. It is the identity of Lucky Travels.
Only Premium Ertiga—Because Comfort Should Never Be Optional.
Comfort should be a basic part of travel
I have always believed that comfort should not be treated as an optional extra. A cab journey may last thirty minutes, several hours or an entire day. During that time, passengers should not feel that they must adjust themselves around a vehicle that does not suit the journey.
Compact sedans are useful for many people because they are designed around affordability and efficiency. However, they may not be the right choice for every family, airport transfer or luggage-heavy trip. When several passengers are travelling with suitcases, the available space can become especially important.
This is one reason I chose the Ertiga. It offers flexible seating, an air-conditioned cabin and a practical balance between passenger comfort and journey cost. I respect vehicles such as the Innova for the comfort and space associated with them, but they can be outside the budget that some travellers want to spend. I do not claim that an Ertiga and an Innova are identical. My belief is simply that the Ertiga offers a comfortable and sensible alternative for customers who want more flexibility than a compact sedan at a more accessible price than many larger premium vehicles.
For me, that balance is worth specialising in.

An honest conversation about CNG and luggage space
Many customers are concerned about luggage space, particularly when travelling to or from the airport. Some taxi vehicles use CNG equipment that occupies part of the boot, but CNG itself should not be discussed as though it is automatically a problem. The important question is whether the available space matches the actual passenger and luggage combination.
My own Ertiga runs on petrol and CNG. That is why I prefer an honest conversation before confirming a trip. I ask how many adults and children are travelling, how many large suitcases they have, whether they are carrying cabin bags, and whether every passenger seat will be needed.
I will not tell a customer that every possible combination will fit. Six passengers with several large suitcases have different requirements from a couple carrying two bags. Clear information allows us to plan the seating and luggage properly—or to say honestly when the arrangement may not be suitable.

“Premium” means how the journey is handled
To me, Premium Ertiga does not mean adding a word before the name of the car. It means taking responsibility for the complete experience around the vehicle.
For every confirmed Lucky Travels journey, my service priorities include:
- Cleaning the vehicle before the trip.
- Reaching the pickup point punctually, with realistic planning for traffic.
- Helping passengers with their luggage.
- Planning the route according to the itinerary and current road conditions.
- Giving older passengers the time and assistance they need to board comfortably.
- Maintaining a family-friendly environment.
- Communicating directly before and during the journey.
These may appear to be small actions, but they are often what a traveller remembers. A clean seat, help with a heavy suitcase, a patient pickup for an elderly parent or a clear message before an early-morning journey can make the customer feel cared for.
That feeling matters to me as much as reaching the destination.
Direct booking creates a different relationship
App-based taxi services are convenient and have an important place in everyday travel. A customer can request a nearby vehicle quickly, complete the journey and move on. However, each new booking may bring a different driver, and each driver may meet that customer only once.
I wanted Lucky Travels to offer a more personal alternative for customers who value continuity. With a direct booking, the traveller knows whom they are speaking to. The trip can be discussed before confirmation, questions can be answered directly, and the same owner-driver can become a familiar contact for future journeys.
I do not want to be remembered only as the person who drove a car from one point to another. I want a customer to feel comfortable calling me when their parents need an airport drop, when their family has a function, when a guest arrives in Bengaluru or when they are planning an outstation journey.
When a customer returns, it means that trust has grown beyond one transaction.
Direct bookings also help owner-drivers grow
Choosing between an app and a direct driver is a personal decision. I do not believe customers should be made to feel guilty for using a service that is convenient for them. At the same time, a direct booking can have a meaningful effect on an independent owner-driver.
It gives the driver an opportunity to build a reputation, earn repeat customers and grow a small local business through service rather than depending entirely on the next anonymous assignment. The customer also gains a direct contact who already understands their preferences and previous travel requirements.
If you have had a good experience with an owner-driver, booking directly the next time is one practical way to support that person’s growth—provided the service, vehicle, price and terms are suitable for you.
What happens when I am already booked?
I personally own and drive my petrol-and-CNG Ertiga. However, there may be days when more than one customer requests the same date or time.
To handle such situations responsibly, I have a trusted circle of four friends who own the same specified type of vehicle. If I am already committed and one of them is available, I can coordinate the enquiry instead of silently assigning an unknown category. The customer should still receive the driver’s details and vehicle information before the trip and can decide whether to confirm.
This arrangement helps me serve more enquiries while keeping the Premium Ertiga-only promise. Every booking remains subject to availability and direct confirmation.
One vehicle, several types of journeys
Specialising in one vehicle does not mean serving only one kind of trip. A Premium Ertiga can be considered for:
- Family functions and local travel with multiple stops.
The right arrangement still depends on passenger count, luggage, route, waiting time and availability. I prefer receiving the complete itinerary before quoting or confirming because a clear plan protects both the customer and the driver.
My promise to every Lucky Travels customer
Lucky Travels may not always be the cheapest option shown on a phone screen. My promise is not to win every enquiry only by quoting the lowest number.
My promise is to make the value of a direct booking visible through a clean vehicle, personal communication, sensible planning, luggage assistance and respect for the people travelling with me.
I want customers to remember my name when they need a cab again. More importantly, I want them to feel confident sharing my number with a family member or friend.
For a small owner-driver business, that recommendation is not merely another booking. It is proof that the dream has started earning trust.
Frequently asked questions
Who started Lucky Travels?
Lucky Travels was started by Bharath K S on 3 August 2026. He personally owns and drives a petrol-and-CNG Premium Ertiga and handles direct customer communication.
Why does Lucky Travels provide only Premium Ertiga vehicles?
Lucky Travels specialises in the Premium Ertiga because Bharath believes it provides a practical balance of flexible seating, comfort and accessible journey cost. The focused model also makes the requested vehicle category clearer before confirmation.
Does Bharath personally drive every Lucky Travels booking?
Bharath personally handles and drives bookings when available. If two enquiries overlap, he may coordinate one of four trusted friends with the same specified vehicle type. The assigned driver and vehicle details should be shared before the customer confirms.
Is the Lucky Travels Ertiga petrol or CNG?
The vehicle can run on petrol and CNG. Customers should share the number of passengers and the approximate size and quantity of luggage before confirmation because the suitable arrangement depends on both seating and boot-space requirements.
Is Lucky Travels cheaper than every app-based taxi?
Not necessarily. Prices depend on the journey, timing, waiting, route and other confirmed terms. Lucky Travels focuses on direct communication, a known vehicle category and personal owner-driver service rather than claiming to be the cheapest option for every trip.
How can I book a Premium Ertiga directly?
Call 9886814344, send the complete journey details through WhatsApp, or email bookmyertiga@gmail.com. Include the date, pickup, destination, passengers, luggage, stops and required timing. Every journey is subject to availability and confirmation.
Let us make your next journey personal
Lucky Travels began as a delayed dream that I finally chose to act upon. I may have started with one vehicle category instead of a large fleet, but I started with a clear purpose: make comfortable travel personal, honest and accessible.
